Why I Do the Things I Do.

John Huntzer
When I stepped into my boss’s office one day, I had no idea that one simple question would alter the course of my entire career. I was determined to become a sports journalist, which led me to apply for an internship with the USHL’s Indiana Ice. The team had just launched a new website and needed engaging content to attract visitors and promote the mission of highlighting the next generation of NHL talent. Despite my limited formal training in desktop publishing and web editing, I asked if I could give it a try. To my surprise, that opportunity turned into an offer to join the team as my first job after college. Years later, it’s difficult to see what has grown more…my marketing and graphic design skills or my passion for captivating storytelling.
When I’m not racking my brain on the next great creative idea, you can find me at home, spending quality time with my wife and 2 sons, out in the garage covering everything in sawdust or kicking back on the couch, practicing dad jokes.
